News and Events

East Herts Nordic Walking love to hear your news, so if you have anything you would like to share, then please use the contact us form to give us more details. Your news doesn't have to be walking or fitness related.

We also like to support local charities and events, over the years we have completed an overnight walk in aid of Isobel Hospice, the 26 mile Moonwalk for Breast Cancer, and endured lots of charity afternoon teas, in devine locations...tough life!

Local Children's Charity CHIPS, (Childrens Integrated Playschemes) is our favourite though, and we've been involved in many sponsored walks over the years, including the 100K London to Brighton marathon. We even tried breaking the Guinness World Record for the Largest Nordic Walking Lesson with over 230 people attending! Since starting Nordic Walking, we've raised over £20,000 for this worthy cause. If you have a bright idea, we are all ears.

Fancy a challenge for 2024?  Local children's charity CHIPS have a tandem skydive booked for those looking for an adrenaline kick this October. I'll be one of those jumpers, so if you fancy joining me I can help set up a JustGiving page and give you ideas how to raise the £330 needed to participate. I have one space left.
